By recommendation, we were contacted by Frank Bisson’s creative designer to develop transparent packaging for a revolutionary new tool for cutting hair.

The project presented an exciting opportunity to develop packaging specifically around a new and unusual product. As the tool itself was a key feature of the presentation, the packaging needed to provide protection while allowing the product to remain clearly visible to the consumer.

The finished pack consists of a PVC tube with a glued-on base. The transparent tube provides excellent product visibility, while the construction gives the pack a clean and straightforward appearance suitable for retail presentation.

The tube was printed using three-colour gravure, incorporating a double hit of white to provide a more opaque print. This printing technique allowed the required graphics and branding to stand out clearly against the transparent packaging.

Developing packaging for a new product can present a number of challenges, particularly when the packaging needs to balance product visibility, branding and practical requirements. Working closely with the creative designer enabled us to develop the packaging from the initial concept through to production.

This project was another great challenge which we were delighted to have been involved in from the initial stages of development through to delivery. The finished packaging was produced in time for the Autumn launch, providing a clear and distinctive presentation for the new hair-cutting tool.
